I make art because it is my instinctive language. Creating images is my best tool for interrogating the world around me, for then to convey what I have processed. Themes that reoccur in my work are time, space, landscape, myth, storytelling and how one can attempt to represent an abstract concept, such as, the historical past.

Recently I have become interested in live drawing and its collaboration with music. The unconscious, repetitive nature of this work provides many opportunities for happy accidents, it allows the piece to be led by the music and the environment. The finished product therefore, becomes an artefact, a record of that specific event and place.
